Chicago White Sox

Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox logo has undergone many changes over the years from simple to complex, but I think this is my favorite.

To make a twin size afghan, use 2 dc per graph square with an H hook.  To get your starting chain, double the number of graph squares along the edge where you'll begin and add one more for turning (either 90 x 2 +1 = 181 or 120 x 2 + 1 = 241) and start your first dc in the 3rd chain from the hook.  Dc in each chain to the end and that is your first row of graph squares!

If you'd like to make your own, you can download or print the graph from kendrascrochetedcreations.com.  If you have any questions, put those in the body of your email, keeping in mind I just made the graph and haven't made the blanket.  If you like, I can make the blanket for you, email me for pricing and invoice.

Pittsburgh Pirates graph

Do you know how the Pirates got their name?  They were originally the Alleghenys , but when they signed on a much sought after 2nd baseman, they were accused of making a "piratical" move and they embraced the term as their own and wore it proudly.

The logo has changed over the years, as logos often do, but it has most often been a single "P" in some form. The most recent is this pointy letter P whose name for the font I can't find!  I believe they made it up just for the logo, but I could be wrong.

This graph was created to make a twin sized afghan when using 2 dc per graph square with an H hook.  If you would like to make one yourself, you can go to kendrascrochetedcreations.com and save orvprint right from your browser.   If you'd like me to make one for you I can do that. Email me at kendra@kendrascrochetedcreations.com for pricing.

If you make one, please send me a photo!  I love to see your finished products.  If you share, tag me in social media. I'm @KendrasCrochet on Twitter and Instagram and KendrasCrochetedCreations on Facebook.

Let me know what you think!

Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers have changed their logo several times over the years but I think this is the most recognized one. Or maybe it's just the one I like best 😀 .  It was recently changed again to a single M with a barley head from this baseball glove style MB.

To make your own, email me at kendrascrochet@gmail.com for the pdf of the graph, putting "Milwaukee Brewers" in the subject line. Use an H hook and 2 dc per graph square to get a twin sized afghan.  To get a 4 x 5 ft throw, use a J hook and 1 sc per graph square. Increase the number of rows on top and bottom by 5 each and left and right by 15 each.

If you'd like me to make you one, I can do that too.  Email me for pricing.

If you have a special request that hasn't been posted, please let me know and I'll see what I can do for you.

Baltimore Orioles

Another baseball graph, the Baltimore Orioles bird!  Use an h hook with 2 dc per graph square for a twin-mattress sized throw (without border) or add 15 rows to each side and 5 to the top and bottom to get a 4 x 5 ft throw when using a J hook and 1 sc per graph square.  No text on this graph means that you decide whether to work ot the long way or short way across (I'm betting most use the long way!).  If you'd like this graph in pdf form, email me at kendrascrochet@gmail.com with "Baltimore Orioles" in the subject line.  Any questions should be put in the body of the email.  If you ake this, please send me a copy tobe featured here or on my facebook page.  Alternatively, post to Instagram and tag #kendrascrochetedcreations I'd love to see it!

St. Louis Cardinals

Not to be confused with the NFL team Arizona Cardinals found here,  the St. Louis Cardinals are a Major League Baseball team (as you can figure out from the bat in the graph).  This graph is created to make a twin mattress top sized throw when using an H hook and 2 dc per graph square.  If you want a 4 x 5 ft throw instead, Add 15 rows to each side and 5 rows to top and bottom, then crochet using a J hook and 1 sc per graph square.  I'd recommend starting from the short side as the lettering is a bit involved if you try to do across those rows. If you'd like a bit more detail on the "intarsia crochet" method I like to use to keep colors from showing through, see my series on Intarsia crochet starting here.

If you'd like this graph, please email me at kendrascrochet@gmail.com with "St. Louis Cardinals" in the subject line and I'll send a pdf.  If you enjoy my work, please join my Facebook Page or leave me a comment below, or send an email.  If you make this afghan, please send me a photo to feature on my Facebook page, or to add here.

I've had inquiries as to whether I make and sell the finished product.  Yes I do.  If you have anything in mind you can't find on my blog I'll work with you to create something that you'll love.
